Institute for Local Government: Academic Teaching
The Institute has five main fields of operation:
In association with the Tel Aviv University Department of Public Policy, the Institute runs a unique program in local government as a part of the Executive Masters’ Program in Public Policy [EMPP]. The program provides the students with both theoretical knowledge and practical tools for the development of local government and the implementation of municipal policy. Annually, 15 of the students in this program are senior representatives of local governments, including elected officials and senior public servants in local authorities. The Institute intends to further develop a program of Cadet for Local Government, targeting excelling young graduates and nurturing them as future local leaders.
