Call for Applications: Tenure-track Appointment in The School of Political Science, Government and International Affairs, Tel Aviv University

The School of Political Science, Government and International Affairs at Tel Aviv University invites applications for an open-rank tenure-track position. Priority will be given to scholars specializing in international relations and security studies. The appointment is expected to begin on October 1, 2027.

Candidates should hold a PhD in Political Science or a closely related discipline by the time of appointment. We are seeking applicants with a record of research excellence and the potential to develop an innovative and ambitious research program. Candidates should also demonstrate a strong commitment to high-quality teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Hebrew is the primary language of instruction at Tel Aviv University. Candidates who do not currently teach in Hebrew will be expected to develop the ability to do so within three years of their appointment.

Applicants are asked to submit the following materials through the online submission portal HERE:

•   A letter of interest

•   A curriculum vitae

•   A writing sample, consisting of either an article or up to two book or dissertation chapters

•   A brief research statement of no more than two pages

•   A brief teaching statement of no more than two pages

Applicants should also arrange for three signed letters of recommendation, on institutional letterhead, to be sent directly by the referees to the search committee at polijobs@tauex.tau.ac.il.

To ensure full consideration, all application materials should be received by October 2, 2026. The committee will begin reviewing applications after this date. Applications received later may still be considered, although applicants are strongly encouraged to submit the complete application package by the deadline.
